Help!! Stuck at the very beginning (((BioShock)

I play on xbox 360, pirated version. Found the key, broke the beams. Then he writes "press LS to sit down." I donâ€™t understand where to reap. Doesn't want to sit down. Glitch? Or am I dumb? Help!!
