007: SPECTRUM - opinions.

I went on the second day after the premiere. In general, not the worst film in the series. Feels like - closer to the classic "Bondian" of the sixties - naive, beautiful, tasteful, and without deep meaning. For many, Casino Royale is the best, but my personal favorite is Skyfall. In general, I'm a fan of Craig's James and I think all projects with him are good. But the "Spectrum" will be the penultimate in the list before the "Quantum of Solace" in terms of quality. From the ending (as well as from the interview with 007 himself), one must assume that this is the last project with Daniel's participation. In general, the film resembles some kind of video game - unreal beautiful spectacular chases, two boss battles, conspiracies of a sinister organization directly inside MI6.
There are no cool one-take dialogues like in "Skyfall", here you will not find exquisite acting when worried about their cards and bluffs, as in "Casino Royale". This is an exemplary action movie of the "Quantum" level, in which, nevertheless, there is the spirit of the previous part (it is logical, because Sam Mendes is again at the helm). I don’t know for sure - officially, 245 million greenbacks were spent on the film, according to other sources - 300 million. So, to be honest, I was aggrieved for the last part - where did all the money go? But the final shootout, flowing into the ending, easily shut you up, and you left the session with a feeling of complete satisfaction. Here all the way these 300 million will flicker in my head, when there was "Interstellar" for 165 and "Gravity" for 100. But then you remember the initial scene with 1500 people in the crowd, one of the most powerful explosions in general in the history of cinema, with several thousand tons spent, two spectacular auto-airplanes! - chase and ... that's all. Questions remain. The point is not that the money was spent no one knows where, because these are costumes, outdoor shooting and so on. Why, after the wonderful past of the film, we, in the finale of this Bond film, were given an improved "Quantum"?

As for the visual part, everything is fine here - the spread snow-covered landscapes of the Alps (in which there was almost no snow at the time of filming, and all the white blanket seen consists of three hundred tons of artificial substitute) in the most beautiful angles. The Mexican carnival is filmed from a variety of angles, making you feel what is happening under the appropriate musical accompaniment. Special effects are involved minmum, tk. the bulk of local action is stunts and stunt work. Just take an auto-chase in Italy, where seven Jaguar cars were smashed, with a total cost of about 25 million euros.

Four things really admire: the hilarious fight with the mouse, the lovely menswear, the title music by Sam Smith (which was definitely, at least in melody, inspired by Adele's Oscar-winning song), and a great opening scene with walking on the cornices - graceful, bravo , to orgasm. I finished.

In any case, if you are a fan of the franchise - viewing is a must, even if it is immensely bad. If not a fan ... it won't get any worse either. But it is precisely the feeling of old naive films with Connery that does not leave most of the time. And 2:28 there was a lot of timekeeping, because there is much less action here than we would like, and the dialogues are not of particular value, so the same hour and a half of the project with the participation of Olga Kurylenko looked advantageous.

And if my opinion meant anything, I would give 7.5 points.

Also a fan of Bond performed by Craig, I don’t understand why most of them don’t like him so much, I couldn’t stand this franchise before, but after Casino Royale everything changed. Spectrum was one of the most anticipated films this year, I had high hopes for it, not to say of course that I was very disappointed, I expected more, of course, but I liked the film. The most offensive thing that turns out is the last bond for Craig, but if my memory serves me, he signed a contract for two more films after Skyfall.

Yes, under the contract he is to appear in the 25th film. But I don’t know what can be filmed there - a spin-off in the spirit of Quantum? Do not know. It seems to me that many people do not like this part. You noticed that at the end, when he was looking for bombs in the former building ... you saw in the cells photos of Vesper, the villains Mikelsen and Bardem, but there was no one from "Quant", which means that they either do not want to recognize him, or this still spin-off. And yet, if the future film is also an offshoot, then the content of the main trilogy, as a whole product, will somehow be inappropriate, when the final part will be exactly the spin-off. In general, I would watch Bond endlessly with Craig. But you can understand it - tired, the person is 47 years old, you need to move on, look for new images and roles. I don't want the same fate, a la Downey Jr., when a great actor was ditched by royalties and the only way.

Regretted watching.

Skyfall's previous film looked downright weak against the backdrop of the gorgeous first film in the Daniel Craig relaunch, Casino Royale.

It would seem that it is necessary to change the director in order to save the situation, and Sam himself seems to have already disowned James Bond, but no - for some reason he was again appointed as the director of the fourth film. But there was still a shaky hope.

And what does he do: he finally tramples and throws into the trash all the work done to humanize Bond from the first film, where Bond kills meaningfully and hard, where a fight is a matter of survival through pain and even tears, a meeting with a villain is internal confusion, but overcoming yourself. Again, Bond falls in love in spite of himself. The love line with Vesper seemed logical and reasonable.

In the new film, we see something similar but a new part of the "unstoppable" with a potpourri from different parts of 007, rampant hip shooting with a grin hitting all the bad guys, races and collisions on everything that can go / float / fly, sexual intercourse With almost all females indiscriminately, the return of the famous Bond gadgets with rocket launchers moving out from different places, constant dressing up in different tight clothes from the Calvin Klein posters ... It went and stupid.

... And even a ridiculous wooden big guy was stuck looking like "Jaws" from 007 "Moon Rider".

It seems that Sam Mendes simply forgot that he was filming the continuation of the successful restart of canon, and made another “die the golden eye”. Craig has nowhere to play here, he stayed as a mannequin hanger, I must say, much lost in charisma due to immobile Botex cheeks and suits with short pants, ala "Shurik".

I don’t understand the enthusiasm for the actor Christoph Waltz, who plays Colonel Hans Landu in all his famous film roles. It looks just ridiculous. Mads Mikkelsen was a genius, by the way.

What I liked: I liked the title song, camera work, the picture with architectural and geographical views is very beautiful.

Perhaps that's all, I've had enough of Bonds, I don't want any more.

You are mistaken, Quant is not a spin-off, and the villain from there Dominic Green was mentioned in the Spectrum, I remember exactly. Drew attention to this when watching.

I remember that too, but why is nobody mentioned in the photo of villains or girls?

In fact, the film is good, there are not many CGIs. The plot is connected with the three previous films with Craig and a little with other films about 007. Those who have watched all the films and are waiting for a certain moment will definitely wait for it. The dialogue in the desert explains a lot. I advise you to go to the movies.

XBoy360 Well, maybe because everyone spat heavily on this Quantum, an unmemorable villain, and Kurylenko was not a Bond girl. Although, as for me, Dominic Green was much more interesting than the eternal Colonel Hans Landa.
In general, it was in the staging that Quant was very good, quite in the spirit of the Casino, everything was spoiled again by the wooden Olga, who was attached there for some dick.

Hike the entire budget of the film just went to 300 tons of snow, and wasted Jaguars unpacked in the trash. Cast as Bond Tom Cruise and it would look like another part of Impossible Mission.

I recently watched this film. Impressions are not very good. Too prolonged, many inconsistent scenes, the main villain did not impress at all. As Sokol says - "This is a complete Blofeld drain" and I agree with that. Many say that it's time for Craig to retire, that in the Spectrum he already looks tired, plays poorly, because of this the film is like that. Yes, the actor has aged, but his position does not give up. And it's not about Craig at all, but about the script. Quickly concocted plot, which does not cling to anything. How Mendes could have made such a boring movie after the successful Skyfall, I don’t understand. Probably the director was tired of Bond more than Craig.
In general, in my opinion, Craig as Bond had two successful films and two not very successful ones. And they go through one. See for yourself: Casino Royale +, Quantum of Solace -, Skyfall coordinates + Spectrum -. I hope Craig will star in the 25th anniversary film about agent 007 and it will be an interesting movie .. The main thing here is that the script and the director do not let down, as was the case with the Spectrum.

I thought that the casino royale was crap, it turned out I was wrong, this is generally a hat.
