Tempering Heid's Sword to Fire (Dark Souls 2)
Hello everyone.I decided to pump the cleric, at the moment of faith 35, for a start, a good option from the weapon - Heid's sword. I wanted to temper it with lightning, but I read that it is better to temper it to fire, since faith also scales to fire, as a result, the sword will have both lightning damage and fire damage, which both will be scaled from faith. So what is still better to harden with lightning or fire ???

It seems to me that if you also use the "Blade of Light" miracle or the corresponding ointment, then lightning hardening will be more effective in the end. Tempering for fire will give a past penalty to both physical damage and lightning damage; when as hardening for lightning will give a penalty only to physical damage.

Lightning. This is the most useful weapon buff in the entire game. Fire is not effective in water and many enemies have a higher resistance to it than to lightning.
Better lightning, in addition to the fact that it has the largest increase from faith, so also all opponents wearing armor receive additional damage from lightning, also in water the resistance to lightning for all opponents (including you) drops strongly somewhere for 200-300 units.
You ask here, and on our wiki. I will also answer - either lightning or nothing. There is no need to crush on the elements.
And as said above - fire is the worst element.

By the way, the opposite! I read somewhere that it is for Heid's sword that it is better to crush and burn the elements into darkness. The total damage is higher. It is damage to mobs, not numbers in indicators. And I checked, really so. The truth is not much higher, but still. True, I do not remember how much faith I had then .. But although it was 25-32 for sure. Intelligence more than 40 for sure. I reworked it there for spells, I don't remember exactly.

But usually yes, it is better not to crush the elements. But there are several weapons wherever possible. The sword of either the caretaker or the protector also applies to them.
