How to build with concrete? (Fallout 4)

Maybe I will repeat myself, but I did not find a topic on the forum. There is no time to live in the game, I want to quickly find out and try everything. I already have 500 units of concrete, but ... I don't know what to do with it. In my building, only metal and wood are available, and then, somehow there are few components, if you look at the screenshots of what the players are posting here.
