Who is NATO for?
Riots and protests in Montenegro against the country's accession to NATO have reached their climax. However, the fact that yesterday, meeting in Brussels, the foreign ministers of NATO member states invited Montenegro to their alliance is not particularly surprising. The fact that the North Atlantic Alliance is planning a new expansion in the Balkans has been known for a long time. The West is increasing its presence in the Balkans, since the last, sixth NATO enlargement took place on April 1, 2009, when Albania and Croatia entered the alliance. It is also a fact that Montenegro itself has been waiting for a chance to become the 29th member of the alliance since 2006, when it declared its independence. And she didn't just wait. Over the years, the country's authorities have been active on the diplomatic front and carried out an intensive campaign to increase support for NATO membership within the country.

NATO has ambitious plans. Now there is unhealthy bullshit in which one or several small states can be trampled under the guise of it.
