Something similar happened. After the mission "Fatal Eggs". First he came to the city and wanted to hand over the egg to the robot, but in the conversation he changed his mind and went to the nest. After putting the egg in the nest, I came across Talon, but he did not react. I think it was deliberately conceived, like you return the egg to him, he does not touch you. Nobody began to edit the script for different behavior because of whether or not the egg returned. So the Deathclaw is hanging there vegan.
