Prepare to die edition at 2560x1080 (Dark Souls)

Good day. Bought an ultra-wide monitor today. I decided to go to DS (steam license) and started setting up the settings. The game detected the resolution as 2560x1080 and I clicked apply. After that, the screen is black, but sounds are heard as the mouse runs through the menu. And I probably also accidentally blindly and clicked to apply the settings. And now, when you start the game right from the very beginning, a black screen. Loading goes on and again a black screen and I can only hear the mouse moving through the menu. Help solve the ailment. How to reset and fix this permission issue. Thanks a lot in advance!

Maybe DSfix will help (change the permission there). Try to check the integrity of the cache or just reinstall the game. Saves with other people's settings can help.

find darksouls.ini and put the required resolution there

There, as an option, take away smoothing

Where are these saves with settings located? And at the expense of fixing, I tried to bet, but something did not work out. I can't even change the settings myself, because a stupidly black screen is on and I can't see what I'm doing

Ilya Badidysch,
I don’t know where you put your permission, renderWidth 800 renderHeight 600 here you also need your permission. I dsfix knows when I set it up for myself, but there were no problems

yes it was there I also exhibited. Okay. In principle, at 1920x1080, it plays more or less normally, everything has become a little fatter but bearable. Thanks for the advice

There is a wonderful program (https://www.widescreenfixer.org/), with it you can adjust the resolution, as well as remove the stripes http://www.wsgf.org/dr/dark-souls-prepare-die -edition / en
http://3dsurroundgaming.com/WSF.html - from there download the file for the widescreen fixer, replace the old plugin.
Then start the program, and the game. If there is a black screen, then you need to press the "*" key.
Spoiler
Sometimes the image is flattened, but the solution is quite simple:
you need to go to the menu and load the game again, then the screen ratio starts to take into account correctly.
