Died laptop HDD. Recovery of licensed Windows 8.

The hard drive on the Dell laptop, which is 2 years old, has died. I do not know yet whether I will restore the data or not, all the same, I will have to install a new one, because the repair is unlikely to succeed. If with a stationary computer, in addition, they gave an OEM disk of Windows, then on the laptop Windows 8 was already activated: no keys, only a sticker on the bottom. The question is this. I bought it in Citylink, but the guarantee is over there: I'll wait six months. Is it possible to somehow, bypassing Citylink, immediately deal with Dell service centers? Even if the citylink guarantee flies off (because the invoices / receipts for them, I have to hand them over to them for repairs, and then they seem to have to take them to Dell's centers themselves, but everything is long and of poor quality). And if you still try to recover at least part of the data from it in specialized data recovery centers? After all, the service department will immediately say take a new hdd. In general, what are the procedures for restoring Windows preinstalled in a laptop in the event of the death of the HDD? How does this happen? As I understand it, I have to show the killed disk to them, otherwise they will say that they violated the integrity ...

if you only need laptop data, then you need to carry the hard disk to the wizards, sorcerers and necromancers. naturally it will not be guaranteed and not free.
under the guarantee of the laptop, they do not have to restore the data nicknames, as far as I know, so in this case they will do the most - replace the railway and put it on a new clean Windows.

zoomukc, I confirm practically. The railway was out of order, it was changed to me under warranty, after a week of conditional testing, to a similar one, but empty.

Dr_Drift_RU Have you installed
Windows?

zoomukc, no. I bought the screw separately. But I suspect that the system will not be delivered to you. Because The OEM version of Windows is tied to the hardware it is installed on. I suspect that it will not work to deliver the same. However, it is worth checking with the service center if it is under warranty. They do not bite there 0_-

By the way, if you are not late with the answer, then the solution to the problem is simple, you just download the original image of win 8.1 of the same version that was on the laptop, if Win8 64 bit for one language, then you can download win 8 or 8.1 64 bit for one language. The original image can be downloaded as follows - https://forum-ru.msi.com/index.php?topic=90087.0.
The eight key is hardcoded into the BIOS so that it can be picked up automatically during installation, you just need to download the correct Windows. I installed it on many laptops, stood out of the box with win8, changed the HDD there, and I installed win 8.1 of the same version, and no problems, after installation you get a clean licensed OS.
