Doesn't go into the network library (Spore)

Doesn't go to the online library in Spore. As far as I understand, the servers have closed?
It is different on different sites. Somewhere they write that Maxis was removed, and somewhere they write that technical work is underway, and soon the servers will be restored. Can someone please clarify what and how?
