Asus PCI-Ex GeForce GT 740 2048MB

I'm going to buy an Asus PCI-Ex GeForce GT 740 2048MB. Tell me, is it worth taking this model? Will it work with Asus P5G41T-M LX2 / GB motherboard?
Now I use a Radeon HD 5670, Pentium DualCore processor (2.8 Mhz).

A very bad choice. The price / performance ratio is disgusting. I advise you to add a little more money and take the R7 260 260X 2GB, it will be a more profitable purchase, if you are so strained with money - at least 250X.
The processor is very weak, so the replacement of the video card is the last upgrade on this platform. If in the near future you plan to assemble a new system unit, then it is worth saving up for a more productive video card, so that you can later install it in a new system unit.
You don't have to think about compatibility at all, since absolutely all PCI-E versions are backward compatible. Absolutely any video card will do, but the performance will rest on the platform and the video card will be idle (rest).
