Downgrade Angel (Borderlands 2)

While indignation about selling Borderlands 3 in the EGS died away, I would like to visit the estate at least some official information to find out why Gearbox changed the appearance of the angel ECHO in all games after the release of the remaster of the first part and the 4K texture pack for the pre-sequel and second part of the game?
