Unreal Tournament 2004 RIP Forum (Unreal Tournament 2004)
ps cold-loshara: b
Ninja Welcome
back, cemetery top flooder. What smells so bad on your shovel? : B
===
But seriously: yes, the activity on the forum has subsided, it's summer after all. People still play UT2004 on servers, and discussions of game issues are conducted in Skype conferences, mostly. On Saturdays from 22:00 we play CTF, on Sundays - Assault from 21:00 Moscow time. With voice communication and captain tackles every 1-3 cards. Not everyone has enough seats.
Brief summary of tournaments to the heap: The
planned championship TDM 2on2 on PG with prize money F51 canceled, apparently. But the TeaMatch.net project has been launched: the Israeli cheater exod1a has opened registration for the European CTF 5on5 championship. This is a success. : D
Welcome back, it's harmless to dream)

Idly even uh-huh. You can swindle instead of me, since it comes to that.

It's just that all the discussions have long been moved to the conferences and there really is no special point in writing on the forum.
There were confs before, just someone failed with their stupid educational program and in a year ditched what had worked fine before him regardless of any summer, in general, one forum in the net where you could go and catch a lot of fan from reading / participating became less :( I'll take my leave, paka paka

How optimistic, you will have to add:

> Shockgun is, in my opinion, the most controversial weapon in the game. But blowing up the balloons was definitely fun

lol, I've been planning to score on ut for a long time, since the new year, so don't flatter yourself, nothing worked for you) I also found a teacher: D you couldn't even re-educate yourself this year, remember at least the same enchanting chats of online broadcasts , what can we say about other
imhs, nothing will work for you, and in the fall and winter and beyond - words will remain words, promises - promises, and the forum will hang safely dead :)
A few posts above, drak0nis referred to an article that in turn has a link to another article that a single player in games shouldn't die. There is an interesting comment under the article, I will quote it in part:
I think network games are primarily entertainment, and on the network pro-nerds, all that remains is to open your hands, as they say. I would like to note that skill and intelligence are far from the same thing. Of course, by concentrating on one thing monotonously and scrupulously, you can develop a skill, but intelligence develops only if the brain is forced to work on solving different problems. Not to mention the fact that skills are needed and not needed by society. You can be more skillful than everyone in the yard in terms of the range of spitting over the fence, for example, but what's the point? And, since games are still games, I think that there is no need to build up these notorious skills there, and games need to be played wisely, as they say. Computer games are a whole facet of the culture of society and so far there is no getting away from it. Also, players cannot get away from the fact that sooner or later, but you still have to think with your head in the sense that sooner or later the exhausted and stupid brain of such a pro-nerd will simply refuse to perform the same monotonous mental actions and will urge such a player to use it, the brain, for its intended purpose - that is, to cognize what something new. High-quality games can offer the player gymnastics for the mind, aesthetic pleasure and even cultural development. Similar to the indicated closed gaming pro communities, network games can be compared to something like Internet sects with all, as they say, following. The mechanisms that influence the minds of players in such Internet sects are certainly brought almost to perfection and it is very difficult for a player to get out of there. that sooner or later the exhausted and stupid brain of such a pro-nerd will simply refuse to perform the same monotonous mental actions and call on such a player to use it, the brain, for its intended purpose - that is, to learn something new. Our community is very closed - a forum with a long history in the outback of PG, private conferences of active players in Skype, even our server is shielded from prying eyes, is not displayed in the game Internet browser. Similar to the described Internet sects ...
What are your thoughts on this? Brothers and sisters in the Sacred Tournament, is there anything to cover? :))
PS: Also, the high priest of the community, an expert of the 8th level - Mr. Carney is invited to the thread!
The shepherd calls on the high priest to administer justice, and a total inquisition of dissidents. in order to raise the morale of fighting spirit among their adepts, and to involve the new flock in their structures.
PS since 2004 it is really very difficult to get off, if someone sees this message from outside: Pull ME OUT OF HERE !!!!
why was the branch with the fifteenth tarnment transferred to the town? otherwise I’m sitting here all zombified and further than ut2.ru I don’t see anything. And the people, meanwhile, are playing at all in 2015. It is NOT a serious matter, forcing their adepts to climb on third-party resources, so you can stay without a flock.
Pro-nerds are some cybersportsmen from the pillbox there, etc., who really spend a lot of time on popular games, and it's somehow ridiculous to refer this comment to a dead game with a pitiful 1000 people online) There is no need to cover up here: )
The topic needs to be closed, because it does not apply to the game. And I do not share the author's point of view, since the activity on the forum of the 2004 game is much stronger than on the games that were released later. And if you look at the latest reports, then a considerable part is less than a month.
