Steam achievements via save? (Mass Effect Legendary Edition)

In general, I went through the first part on pirate, now I bought it on incentive. The saves work, but you can somehow "activate" the achievements in the incentive, which I have already done in fact. For example, after loading the last battle in the first part, I killed one geth and I was immediately credited with the achievement for killing 1k and 2k enemies. Is it possible to somehow "shake" the steam in order to get the achievement?
