Cold war crisis mission "Montignac Must Fall" (Arma: Cold War Assault)

At the end of the mission, after the squad has captured Provence, an enemy helicopter arrives, and the squad has to retreat into the forest. Can this helicopter be shot down with a grenade launcher? If you shoot him down, will the squad still retreat?
