Jewel or boxed version?

At this stage are the evil pirate PC games.Bad conscience,I want to license my favorite games.Figure not interested.So,which is better:or jewel box?Is there a difference in having problems with installation?
If I someone does not understand,the boxed version there is a view box larger than the jewel,where you can book to invest

Two years ago, I took the Witcher 2 jewel.When downloading the latest update 6Gb're all screwed:8 DAYS LEFT.This form of installation is annoying me.Is this disk gathering dust
