Play on x64 systems. (Crysis)
Somehow a patch was released to FarCry that allows you to sharpen the game for 64-bit systems. I personally checked it myself: on a regular XP I played at 800x600 at medium settings. On 64-bit XP, I played at 1024x768 everything at the maximum and the fps was higher than in the first case. Crysis already has support for x64 systems: when installing the game from a 64-bit system, a new bin64 folder appears in the root of the game and the startup file crysis64.exe. All is well, if not for one "but". It does not want to run on any of my 64-bit systems.Did anyone manage to run it on a 64-bit OS? Are there any significant performance gains, as was the case in FarCry?
I ran on this system:
DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (overclocked to 2300MHz) / Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 / Kingston KTC1G-UDIMM DDR2-800 1024mb + 1024mb / MSI 8800GTS-640MB (629 / 920MHz) / 320 SATA WD / DVD-RW 7173A SONY-NEC / Chieftec 500W / Creative SB X-Fi Elite Pro Retail /
Under XP (normal) it played at a maximum of 1280x1024 AF16, AA0, produced 20-23 frames, rarely up to 25-26.
Launched 64 on Vista, with the same fidyah configuration, but the settings in traffic up to "ultra" became available, and set it to the full maximum. It became impossible to play. 12-14 frames, rarely up to 18-19 came.
So that's it.
The fact is that on whist the game runs on DirectX10, so the performance has dropped. It also works much better for me on a regular XP than with the same settings on whist under dx10.
Sorry for a mega-stupid question, but where can Mona see what system is worth? x64 or x32 or x86!
ZY I looked in the System Information there before the name of the processor it says x86, it means that I have x86 ?!
in the total commander, open the file with the .001 extension - this is a regular archive. it contains 2 exe files for x86 and x64
4 J_A_C_K go to http://www.lavalys.com/ and swing EVEREST. Everything is written there in Russian.
In order to find out whether your operating system is 32x or 64 bit, you need to go to the system properties (control panel-system) there, in the first window that appears, the name of your operating system will be written. If you have 64-bit, then there will be a postscript "64-bit edition".
In order to play Crisis on 64-bit, you need to install the game from under a 64-bit system.
PS: just in case, for those who do not know: 64-bit OS is installed only on 64-bit processors.
