Argonian Blood (The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion)

In general, I completed the quest "Cure for vampirism", brought in all the ingredients, killed the vampire. Only the blood of the Argonian remained, but when hit or killed, nothing happens. A sign should appear, but it is not. What could be the problem?
