fast reload not working (Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy)

I play on PS4. installed the "quick reload" perk (in the first chapter of the game). According to the instructions, in order for the fast reload to work, you must press R2 at the moment when the stripes pass the green squares on the sight. I press R2 at the right moment, but there is no reload.

Has anyone experienced this?

I have the same problem but on pc.
PS4 controller.
You have to use the mouse at such moments, which is very inconvenient.

There you need to press in time and it is only one left mouse button, otherwise it may not really work, more often it does not work in battles
