Freezes in games during autosave
I need help, wrote on various forums, zero sense. I bought a laptop, a year ago already. I am still looking for a possible cause of my problem. In some games, there are friezes only during autosave, otherwise there are no sharp friezes, and in my case, the freeze is half a second, but very noticeable, jerking the game. Freezes in Far Cry 5, 6 on every pickup. At the checkpoints of Doom Eternal, The Witcher 3 with autosaves, Prey has the same friezes, other games also have them, but only in some places, and in these games it stably pulls the picture when saving, help me figure it out, I’m ready to thank a little financially, for the fuss Who can help me get rid of these friezes. Acer Nitro 5 laptop. Proc i7 9750H, Video rtx2060, RAM 16GB, SSD memory samsung 980 at 512gb and native ssd micron also at 512gb01001000 01101001
And here I have them, in the thought there is a microfreeze at the control points, in the witcher with the save icon at the bottom, I don’t know how to deal with it until I decided, at the expense of the headlights, the edge, yes, there is a jamb from the game, they admitted it but they don't want to fix it

The reason is that Win.11 doesn't match these listed games. these games are sharpened under Win.7 and at most under Win.10, and Win.11 is generally an experimental surrogate. There are some games that only work on certain Windows, while on other Windows there are bugs, friezes or do not start. Therefore, I still keep Win.XP, and also 3 independent systems are installed on Win.7 x64 (switched by power supply) with different versions of NET Framework, Vredist and .dll

Perhaps there are such, but there are only a few of them. And old games run smoothly on older systems. And as for Windows 11, it is essentially the same ten, with changes in the interface and the presence of certain functions in the future. Personally, on Windows 11, Max Payne 1, Gta3, Mafia 1, Return castle Wolfenstein, Call of Duty 1 and all subsequent games quietly ran on Windows 11, the list can be continued for a long time. I see no point in keeping XP or Seven for these games.

Well, it’s probably not necessary to sit without operating system support, you can set the compatibility mode in the game shortcut settings, for some old games it helps to get rid of bugs, but I have a slightly different case, I don’t sin at all with old games, they used to be many could not smoothly make saves, such as the Witcher 1, there is always a frieze when saving.

I agree, they will run, because along with the games, old components are also installed to run these same games.

I understand that. And in your defense, I wrote in response to one joker:

Since when did the frieze when saving become something abnormal ?!

Yes, there are not many such games, but they are interesting (for me), and therefore it makes sense for me to keep XP (no problem). In addition, I need XP not only for games. I also tried Win.10, and flatly refused it (I won’t give reasons, but if you’re interested, talk to competent honest programmers), as well as Win7 x64 with malicious updates under Win.10. In addition, games under Win.10 have become worse than they were under Win.7. The peak of the best games has long passed, and interesting gameplay began to fall with the advent of Win.10.

This does not always help. In general, I have a bunch of games from 2005-2010 on Win.7 x64, without setting compatibility in the label.
Started a new game in Far Cry 6, no freezes when autosave, the game runs perfectly. I loaded the save 90% - all the friezes are in place. Friezes appear after more than half of the game, the one who talks about the absence of friezes has not played much, so they are gone. This is definitely a problem with the game, not the hardware. We are waiting for fixes.

Maybe it depends on the size of the save files, when the save is 90% larger?
tsa_va I
agree here, I also don’t have friezes after a new game in fk6, they start a little further than the prologue

Not much more, not so much to freeze the whole system. My save tomb rider weighs more, there are no friezes
