Sound starts to loop (STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl)
So. The problem spread to ALL parts of the stalker. It consists in the fact that the sound sometimes begins to loop, that is, the last played sounds loop, and the rest are not played. There are no special actions leading to this. You can just run and this situation can happen. I WILL BE VERY VERY VERY GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE WHO HELP. I looked at the log, there seems to be nothing there about this. But I will throw off a few phrases that confused me. If there is no help, then, well, you will have to leave the stalker world forever. Because of this, it is simply impossible to play. (Ah yes, exiting with Alt+Tab doesn't help. NOTHING HELPS, except for reloading the game. Please help. Below those phrases from the log:***FATAL***: Too many lmap-textures (limit: 8 textures or 32M).
Reduce pixel density (worse) or use more vertex lighting (better).
It all started with OP 2.1, and so it moved to the original, and to all parts. ASK FOR HELP!

Problems with sound in the original games may be due to the fact that EAX is usually enabled by default in the sound settings ("stray" from Creaive) - I personally had for him. To fix it, I installed OpenAL 2.0.7.0, and in the game itself I turned off EAX in the settings. What about mods (or "assemblies") - I don’t know, for each of them it’s better to check with its author (or where it was downloaded).

Understood, but what if it's not because of this? And yes, thank you very much for your reply! I'll try something.

Audio driver latest Realtek R2.82 64bits? Try changing these settings.
Or try the penultimate Realtek R2.81 64bits audio driver which had a menu.

No, I have Realtek (R) Audio. Honestly, I don't understand the difference. Oh, and by the way, this button, where it says "24 bits" does not open. She is grey. Maybe it's because of the headphones, I don't know. By the way, can this all happen because of viruses?

Looks like you have to put up with the terrible Realtek(R) Audio driver.

But there must be some problem. Before that, everything worked perfectly.

Need to clarify! Problems started after installing mods? Have you tried deleting game settings and save files?
Pavel Rally
Yes, after installing OP 2.1. Now I have examined the whole computer (laptop), no traces of OP 2.1. I have deleted everything. (There are no other games, so I erased all the remnants of the games.)

Perhaps some sound software was installed along with the mod, is there a restore point before installing the mod? If not, then it's best to reinstall Windows.
Pavel Rally
No, no. Eh ... Okay, I understand. Thanks for the help. Everyone.
Greetings ... This helped me in 2.1
