Freeze and Cryo Ammo question (Mass Effect Legendary Edition)

Hello! A question about the work of freezing skills and cryo-cartridges.
1. Does freezing on armored targets work correctly? For example, I throw at a double in the armax arena, it partially freezes. Or I shoot cryo-cartridges at Prime's head, his armor also freezes. But it doesn't work against banshees, wights, and ravagers. Does the effect work and is it just not visible visually? Or do they have some kind of immunity? For example, I shoot or freeze an enemy with a shield, he also freezes. The mechanics of how these skills work is not clear at all.
2. Are cryo cartridges and freezing compatible? i mean the bonuses to the reduction of armor from cryo ammo and damage to the head?

mtutarinov I will
answer according to ME3LE, 1. No, freezing does not work on enemies whose armor does not work, a surface effect is imposed on them, which will allow "Technical explosion" to do, but freezing does not affect them. I don’t know for sure, but if the description is correct, then the damage to the head should be more, it’s hard for me to answer this moment. The freeze effect is applied if the corresponding ability is used, and cryo-ammo only applies after a few shots. Armored targets are immune to freeze and are vulnerable to fire and armor-piercing rounds. The enemy with a shield (Guardian) is vulnerable to freezing, since he does not have Armor, but the cryo-ammo will have to try to hit the Guardian himself, and not his Shield.
2. Yes, they are compatible.
