Preservation career PS4 pro (FIFA 19)

Good afternoon guys. I apologize in advance for the blunt question. Career playing for Dortmund at the end of the season I think will go coach for PSG. Bought players, and when you save can't save his career as a new one (Dortmund wish that career left). Ie,the game gives you only overwrite the existing. This is the way it should? or it must be something in the settings to do? in other words what would you want to become 2 career old survived, and went on new.
