Lag when pressing Esc (Need for Speed: Underground 2)

I decided to remember the old days and install NFS Underground 2 ... But very unpleasant lags are constantly (when entering the world, pause, turn on the map, message menu), 2-3 seconds each ...
The computer is good, gta 5 pulls on high

Tried both on minimum and maximum, still the same
