AMD Mantle API (Sniper Elite 3)
So, with the release of patch 1.11 dated 10/02/2014, a new low-level API was finally added to the game - MantleVersion 1.11
New Content
AMD Mantle support now available (dependent on the latest 14.9 AMD Catalyst drivers). See our blog post at http://www.rebellion.co.uk/blog/2014/10/2/mantle-comes-to-sniper-elite-3
Benchmark mode now available for both Mantle and DirectX 11, accessible from the Extras menu in the front-end.
Who has already tried it, write about the results of the benchmark.
At the moment we have 6 full-fledged games with declared support for Mantle:
- Battlefield 4 (I tested and confirmed the Mantle API)
- Thief 2014 (I tested and confirmed the Mantle API)
- Sniper Elite 3 (I tested and confirmed the Mantle API)
- Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth (Mantle API tested and confirmed by me)
- Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (the game is out, the presence of the Mantle API is not known)
- Sims 4 (the game is out, the presence of the Mantle API is not known)
and 1 benchmark
- Star Swarm (I tested and confirmed the Mantle API)
In the battle, the new API did not show much fps was roughly comparable to DirectX11. But in Mantle Thief, it was possible to significantly increase the minimum frame rate per second in relation to DirectX11, thereby increasing the average fps and removing drawdowns and friezes. Let's see what happens to the Sniper.
PS: Here is a list of next and possible games with Mantle API
Not released (Mantle support confirmed)
Star Citizen
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Battlefield: Hardline
Offworld Trading Company
Mass Effect (untitled)
Mirror's Edge (untitled)
Star Control
Star Wars: Battlefront
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Dying Light
Unreleased (Mantle support not yet confirmed)
Homefront: The Revolution
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Alien: Isolation
Elite: Dangerous Frontier Developments
Grand Theft Auto V
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Lichdom: Battlemage
Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars
it seems like they merged version 1.12, launched it but did not find the option how to install mantle.
tell me who has a license, is there any thread in the options to switch from DirectX to Mantle? (as in Battlefield 4 and Thief 2014).
figured out how to turn on the mantle - everything is banal, just run the corresponding executable that the fucking repackers threw out of the release.
I downloaded the original image from RELOADED and there are two executables - a regular dx11 and a mantle.
PS: for such things, all these repackers should be hung in one place.
Raider2200
and where does the license come from if I just wanted to test the mantle?
but throwing files out of the game is already too much. They decided to know with their minds this way - why is there a file with mantle, if it does not work for me.
when the Russian repackers wake up (fenya, khatab and the rest), one slag lies on the trackers.

that's not bad, the advantage of the mantle is obvious. If AMD continues to optimize this API, and most importantly releases an SDK to the public, then Mantle will have a good future. Although you need to see what MS will offer with its DirectX12.
