960 or 770
So I decided to buy a video card. I'm flitting between gtx 960 and gtx 770 gaming. I understand that the price categories are slightly different, but still. 770 seems to me still a little more powerful! But lately, perhaps because of the drivers, they have evened out, plus or minus. 960 is of course a newer solution, but the cut is still the same (128-bit bus with a bandwidth of 112 GB / s, versus 256 bits and 224 GB / s for 770)!
It really makes sense to throw in and take 970! At least for a couple of years it will be enough for sure, in normal resolution!

There is a comparison between 960 and 770. On average, 960 is 7-12% weaker than 770. But a lot depends on the specific game, extension and build ! Something like this!
The 770 is much more powerful than the 960 in hardware, but it has been pushed into a dead end by the drivers. If you play new games, it's better to really save up for 970 (but don't buy into undercuts in the form of 960). If you play only your favorite, or play in editors, then 770 is better.

Radeon R9 280X or R9 285 as an alternative to the 960. They are a tad faster than the 960, and parity with the 770 at its best. They cost a tad cheaper.

And do not forget about the amount of memory! Now 3 giga is already essentially the norm! Yes, for many games in Full HD and two is enough, but this is temporary! If you don't want to take a steam bath, it's better to immediately pay attention to 3-4 gigabyte solutions! And if you have any thoughts, switch to Ultra HD, then there are no other options - 4 and above !!!

You really need powerful hardware to play +60 fps at high in Ultra HD. And so I look more than 2, none of the games especially eats.
Most of the "new" games now require 2.5 gigabytes of video memory!
