Can Dijkstra's treasure be found, or is it just a key? (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

Is it possible to find only the key by the quest or the treasure itself?

Dijkstra cannot be enlisted to protect Kaer Morhen. The achievement "Full Crew", which is given for attracting all possible characters to the battle (without Dijkstra) seems to hint at this.
