Decrease screen resolution (STALKER: Call of Pripyat)

Someone tell me how to reduce the screen resolution on the game STALKERCOP (repack from ZerocooL) without starting the game! When I turn on the game, my monitor turns off. (Kinescope 17 "with a resolution of 1024x768, 85 Hz. maximum). And where can I find the mailbox of this repacker.

Find the user.ltx file and at the very bottom in the penultimate line you will see the line vid_mode 1024x768... this is the screen resolution. Change it to whatever resolution you want!

It's not a matter of resolution. But in frequency. You set too high a frequency for your video card and monitor. Reduce it by default to 60Hz. Should help.
