Uplay stopped seeing the game after reinstalling Windows (The Crew)

He stopped seeing the game after reinstalling Windows why? Before installing Windows, I threw the folder onto another disk, and then stuck it where it was, after checking the files, Uplay downloads the game again why, help me figure it out. I know in some version of Uplay a function was made to not download the game again after reinstalling Windows, where it has now gone in Uplay.
