How to start playing the DLC? (Borderlands)

In any DLC. Installed everything from GotY. Will the locations be opened as you progress through the main line, or do you need to launch the DLC separately? If so, how?

they are designed for passing after the main storyline, and are already built into the game, you just need to find the transfer station and select the necessary teleports there - Jakobs Cove, Tartarus Station, T-bone Junction, The Underdome. lvl will definitely be more than 18
