Question about the path to becoming a god (Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous)

Now I'm trying to get through the game to the ending with becoming a deity, but I'm passing by choosing Atheism when creating a character. Doesn't that limit the possibility of ascension in any way? I just haven't seen any mention of this moment anywhere in the guides, but I doubt it. Already on the 4th act

as far as I know it's kind of like believing that the staff in the profile doesn't affect anything regarding the ending. Mythic paths are affected there, although in theory they should lead all or many of them and side quests.

Atheism has no effect on becoming a deity. I beat the game as an atheist with the ascension ending.
