Bug with the quest "Exercise in Higher Alchemy" (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

Found the distiller's recipe before receiving the quest from the alchemist druid. I made alcohol in the Gradovskaya distillery, having received a task from a druid-alchemist and the murder of a cyclops.
But the game requires you to find a recipe for a distiller in the distillery, using the witcher's flair.
And the recipe is already in the backpack and it is not possible to drop it in order, as it were, to find it again.
Does that mean the quest can't be completed?
