ledges (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

Either I'm a fool, or the skis don't go. The problem is that I canâ€™t get down from the ledge, Geralt always jumps and loses HP, what should I do / what buttons to press?

when jumping off a ledge, press the spacebar to make Geralt do a somersault, and then you won't lose XP
