I found a way to get around this error
In general, we do the following:
1- Follow the path here: C:UsersUSER_NAMEAppDataRoamingGoldberg UplayEmu Saves5266
2- Save the saveSlot0_2.sav file somewhere (PS: Slot0 - means first save cell)
3- Start the game
4- Go to SELECT SAVE
5- Delete the save from the slot (using the Delete button)
6 - Click on the cell from which the save was deleted and start a NEW GAME
7- We are waiting for the save to pass and we will be allowed to play.
8 - Exit the game and go back to the save folder: C:UsersUSER_NAMEAppDataRoamingGoldberg UplayEmu Saves5266
9 - Delete saveSlot0_1.sav and saveSlot0_2.sav files
10 - Upload our previously saved file saveSlot0_2.sav
11 - Start the game and rejoice

I hope I explained and chewed it in detail (sorry if the text came out long)
PS - if you were already far away, then you will need another character0_1.char file (you can take it from the downloaded save ). Otherwise, you will not have at least a cat (hook) because there will be 1 level

Hmm strange. Yesterday I checked for 3 hours. The only thing with the file character0_1.char did not work (gives an error) So I had to reach the last mission at the first level of pumping.
But today I found the files character0_1 and character0_2 and it seems like at level 11

I solved this issue the following way:

I made a copy of the save files from C:UsersUSER_NAMEAppDataRoamingGoldberg UplayEmu

I kept the character files (character_0_1 for example, those work). I deleted the saveSlot0_2 file only and downloaded a 100% save from the internet, I copied the saveSlot_02 from that online save to the folder and it when I restarted the game it fixed
