Fighter piloting (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2)

In the episode with piloting a fighter, is there any recipe for flying out of the combat zone? I replay it many times and always heal 30 or even 40 times until I pass it by some miracle. Maybe I don’t see something? Thank you.
