Control issues in BeamNG.Drive (BeamNG.drive)

I want to replace the control of the machine from the arrows to the keys W, A, S, D, but when I do this, I have some hieroglyphs in the place of W, A, S, D. What to do?

Switching the input language to English (before starting the game) doesn't help?

Yes. Sometimes it happens that games do not recognize other layouts than English (developer laziness), and instead of normal characters, "cracks" may be displayed on the screen.
