BOOM Esports

BOOM Esports is an Indonesian esports organization founded in late 2016, also known as BOOM ID. Initially, the tag focused on CS:GO, but the first Dota 2 roster appeared in January 2017. It is noteworthy that the organization to this day has cooperated only with Indonesian players, attracting foreign personnel exclusively for organizational and coaching work. The first BOOM Esports roster included such pro players as Dreamocel, inYourdreaM, SaintDeLucaz, SnowbaLL and Varizh. The guys managed to show an excellent result at the Indonesia Games Championship 2017, take 1st place and get about $7.5 thousand in prize money. However, after that, the seemingly successful line-up began to fall apart: SnowbaLL and Varizh left the team, Khezcute and Jhocam came in their place. The revamped BOOM Esports managed to qualify for the Indonesia Pride Gaming League and win, again earning more than $7,000 in prize money, but larger tournaments remained out of reach for the team. In the winter of 2018, inYourdreaM was replaced by Fbz, with whom the roster was able to win the Indonesia Games Championship 2018 and take 5-6th place in the PVP Esports Championship. Another new player was Mikoto, who replaced SaintDeLucaz. Finally, BOOM Esports became known at the international level when it was able to qualify for The Bucharest Minor and take 7-8th place there. Silver at Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 and gold at ESL Indonesia Championship Season 1, which brought more than $50,000 in prize money, were major victories for the team. At OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, the Indonesians managed to reach 5-6 places. In June 2019, the tag invited Clairvoyance to the position of coach, and until November, it was decided who would play the seven-support position: Jhocam left the team, instead of him, inYourdreaM stayed for a short time, later replaced by Hyde. This roster was able to really “shoot”: 4th place at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3, 3rd place at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online for the SEA region, 2nd place at ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online and BTS Pro Series Season 2: Southeast Asia - the professional growth and ambitions of the team became visible to the naked eye.
