Revolutionary propaganda - are the developers spreading lies?

This game perpetuates the myth that the French Revolution was an uprising of "the people" against a tyrant king. The truth is that the French Revolution was orchestrated by a group of very powerful people who wanted to destroy France, the monarchy and the Christian faith.

The people were the first to suffer the consequences: the destruction of corporations that were very protective of the workers, and the revolutionary wars that resulted in the deaths of millions of French people. If you want to know about the first modern genocide, check out the history of the Vendée uprising and how it was put down.

The developers think that they are modern, cool and on the side of the "people".
In fact, they are still spreading lies, disinformation and a false version of history.

And if you think that the media you consume does not affect your perception of the world or your political beliefs, I suggest you educate yourself on this subject.

That is, the presence of a combat gynoid in the described historical period does not bother you? In an alternative history, that is, just a fairy tale, there can be anything, even the immortal Sun King, reborn at will, even the intervention of progressors from a neighboring galaxy.

requiemmm,
only one "Marie Antoinette" confuses us ... and for ** that this is a fairy tale. Don't fig shove Chikatilo into a fairy tale and make him kind. This is a rewriting of history in its own way ... no one would call her Maria Konchalina connected it with a historical character. And so on ** the whole story.

what if Chikatilo was one of the last hereditary inquisitors who hunted down real witches and witchers who are still hiding among us? And he surrendered to the authorities only to cover the rest of the members of the secret struggle.
And if you shift the focus a little, and here's an alternative for you, at least about Other Lukyanenko, at least about Ubisoft's Assassins.

So what? The phrase about cakes, or rather brioche, which is also bread, only according to a different recipe, is generally taken from a theatrical production and attributed to it, there is no real evidence. History is not a science at all, in that part where it ceases to rely on mathematics and museum exhibits. Each government rewrites it for itself, several times in a century, it is strange to recall this on a Russian-language forum. Your history has been rewritten at least three times in a hundred years, and in general, the annals were destroyed by foreigners at the suggestion of Peter, and a fairy tale was invented instead. All this is already a fairy tale, it can be edited as you like, until a museum artifact is found that claims the opposite.
Purely for example, 300+ ships, 40 people each, took part in the campaign against Tsargrad. The ship of that time - the so-called rammed boat, is a dugout from a tree trunk, on which a side of boards was stuffed. I really want to see a tree growing in Eurasia, from which you can cut down a boat for 40 people, with a mast and supplies. This is already some kind of Lord of the Rings with elves and an electric drill.
