Explorer.exe
I have a problem: from time to time I get the error "Explorer.exe - an error was found." and offers to send or not to send the report. After it, everything disappears except for the background image and after five seconds it appears ... What is it all about and what can be done about it?A glitch with the explorer.exe process, which is responsible for the desktop (sort of). I don’t know how to make it not close, I know how to start it back: Ctrl + Alt + Delete - applications (like here) - new task - explorer.exe
Click "do not send"
Standard benign error, the demolition of Windows will help (if too often)

Copy a normal file from someone (preferably from the same Windows) through the Task Manager, complete the Explorer.exe process, and through the same manager, replace the Explorer.exe file !!!
PPC, and what will the replacement of the ekzeshnik give? Does the author by chance go into the folders with video files before the departure of the explorer?
At you this process in idle time how many eats up the CPU? I somehow got such an error when I picked up a virus, check the computer for viruses.
I have the same bug. When I look at the properties of a file or shortcut, explorer.exe sometimes gives an error and everything disappears for a few seconds except for the background.

Did you install toys protected by SecuROM?
From the installation distribution kit with the axis, from the i386 folder, copy explorer.exe to "C:WINDOWSsystem32" (if the axis is installed on another local disk, then, accordingly, change the letter). Then press Win+R, type in "regedit", look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon "Shell" and write in it, directly, the path to explorer'y (C:WINDOWSsystem32explore.exe) ...
I'm updating the topic :)
Guys, I'm looking through the task manager, and I have explorer.exe eating as much as 25 megs. Is it normal or not?
What does normal mean? Because of the display of some stinky Start button along with its panel + the fact that I can climb folders = and because of this 25 megs? :) Right now, by the way, it's already 16 :)

Open a dictionary and look.

Don't like it - don't use it. The conductor performs not only the functions listed by you.
I have this problem: when I try to turn off the computer (start>shutdown) immediately, but the explorer.exe error does not always pop up (send report, do not send), and the same error sometimes pops up when I go to the movie folder. Windows XP Sp3.
I was able to get rid of this error by installing Vista (Xp tried different ones)
or by deleting the K-Lite Codec Pack (tried a bunch of different versions - all the same)
But I can’t do without codecs !!
Help me please.
