Error: \"Metro 2033 executable\" (Metro 2033)

Often the error "Metro 2033 executable" crashes during the game, and sometimes the system freezes completely. Game license in steam. Windows 7 system, nvidia gtx 660 video card. Installing drivers does not help, physics from the install folder is not installed.

I had the same problem, try to fix the software, I see you have a face, then click check cache in the incentive!

try to press Ctrl+Alt+Del and press EXIT there, go back and try to start the game if a window appears at startup with a choice of YES or NO, press NO

I reinstalled physics again and updated the cache. I don't know what, but one of these two worked for me.
