Steam Browser Home Page

What is this page for (default http://www.google.com)?
And what will change if it is changed to another?
After all, the browser does not open this page at all at startup.

When you press Shift-Tab in the game and select "Internet Browser" at the bottom of the window, the first thing that opens is it (by default www.google.com).
