Question about equipment upgrades (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

Good day everyone. The question is this: When I dismantle an item of equipment that has upgrades, they return to my backpack, and when I choose to extract upgrades, they disappear and I only have an empty sword or armor left. Tell me, is it the same for everyone, or is it some kind of glitch with me ??? Are there any other ways that I still have both upgrades and equipment (without having to disassemble it) ???

you choose to "remove enhancements" rather than extract them.
There is no way to save equipment and pull out a rune, only parsing
