Improved Elixirs Question (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

If an elixir recipe has been learned, such as enhanced black blood that replaces the recipe for normal black blood,
where can I get normal black blood to create improved? Wait until it drops and there is no other option?

In my recipes for all elixirs, when finding improved ones, they replaced the usual ones. Some I managed to craft and there are no problems with them, but some I did not. Can you buy elixirs?

No recipe replaces another, it's either a bug or you missed it. All potions of the same potion, armor, etc. always remain.
