Potions and their effects. (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

I remember reading a long time ago that if Geralt starts drinking too much potion, then his veins will start to show (as with high intoxication) almost all the time, is that true? And because of this, I try to use them as little as possible in order to preserve Geralt's humanity (as far as it is possible for a witcher).

This effect subsides as Toxicity decreases.... + you can upgrade alchemy and eat up to 10 Potions without being afraid of Toxicity.

No, I know this, I wrote it already, especially since you can just drink one more potion that cancels all effects and reduces toxicity. I mean that the effects of toxicity will forever remain with Geralt if he takes them often.
