Books and Letters (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

Guys, does it make sense to keep various books and letters in a backpack? Do they provide any real benefit or information? Or can you safely sell after reading?

books must be read in order to replenish the glossary or take quests.
those that give nothing - just like part of the lore

you read once and you can throw it away, if it's expensive, you can sell it, the key ones still go to the section for quest items
