Switching video cards
Hi all. Faced the problem of switching video cards. In games where there is a video switching function, for example, Oblivion, Skyrim, etc., only the integrated video is displayed. I tried to manually switch the cards, the result is zero. All games with this feature run on the integrated vidyuhi and lag. Integrated card: Intel mobile HD graphics and discrete card - amd radeon HD 6650m.How to make it so that when choosing there were both vidyuhi or at least only a discrete one?

In the settings for switchable graphics, look, add the game there and set it to High performance in order for the game to run on discrete graphics.
And in fact, the AMD Radeon HD 6650M is not much superior to the integrated Intel HD graphics.

Did so. All the same, only the built-in vidyuha is displayed in the selection list. And in the game it is very noticeable in terms of performance. For example, the same Oblivion at the minimum wage is barely running. The new MMO Skyforge also produces 25 - 27 fps at its absolute minimum. This is despite the fact that in the Control Center I set it to high performance. In games where there is no such feature for choosing maps, everything automatically switches and the same Battle 3 gives about 30 fps on average.

Disagree. There's a huge difference in video memory. Intel 256MB, Amd 1GB.

Well, first of all, the amount of memory does not give anything at all if the cards are of the same performance level. The power of a card is not measured by the amount of memory.
Secondly. In the settings, a discrete one may not be displayed (sometimes it just doesn’t even show but it works on a discrete one), if the game is old and there is no support for it in AMD firewood. Here you can set it yourself manually in the game files.
In order to find out exactly what is running on, run GPU-Z, show which Intel HD graphics and HD 6650M screen
And so, I already showed the difference between HD 6650M / HD Graphics 4000 / HD Graphics 4600

in the case of nvidia, for example, there is a specific option on which graphics core to run any exe that is supported by the drivers. Radeon should have something similar.
however, in fact, many dx9-10 and below applications do not work on the desired graphics core. probably a drenched one of them.
By the way, it's impossible to erase Intel graphics, because without it the black screen will be stupid if Windows finally starts up.
Well, on Amd video cards, go to the High performance settings, although I didn’t see much difference on my laptop, but on Nvidia everything is much easier with switching
