Russian computers MCST Elbrus

The first products available for order were the personal computer AWP Elbrus-401 and the Elbrus 4.4 server. Both cars at the end of March 2015 first appeared "in public" at an exhibition in Moscow, where they were highly praised by experts.

The Elbrus 4.4 server is a "classic" rack-mount solution based on a bundle of 4 Elbrus-4C processors with a total performance of 200 Gflops. The server supports up to 384 GB of DDR3 RAM - 48 GB of RAM comes as standard. The solution allows organizing import substitution at enterprises that use servers based on American processors and other hardware.
In addition, the developers talk about full support for hardware-software binary translation of Intel x86 and Intel x86-64 codes into codes for execution on a processor with the Elbrus architecture. It supports end-to-end execution of more than 1000 popular programs written for Intel processors and the launch of more than 20 operating systems, including Windows XP, Linux, QNX on Elbrus processors.

Workstation Elbrus-401 is a high-performance desktop for offices and enterprises, a turnkey solution with installed software. It is based on its own Linux-based OS, but it is also initially provided for working in a Windows environment. Inside the mini-tower case there is a Russian motherboard in the usual micro-ATX form factor with a 4-core Elbrus-4C processor with a base 12 GB of DDR3 RAM and a foreign-made SATA 500 GB hard drive.

If desired, you can increase the amount of RAM up to 96 gigabytes (the maximum size supported by the board). Before us is practically the first mass-produced and fully functional personal computer on Russian-made hardware ...

The last obstacles on the way to the consumer market remain: the high price of the first series of Russian "hardware" and the lack of a trade and retail system of a manufacturer or dealers. At the same time, everything is just beginning, and after deliveries to legal entities (namely, they still have access to the order on the developer’s website) of the first serious batches, our manufacturers will reach the mass sector.

Expensive. If there are no glitches, then I think the computer is good.
