Transferring saves from steam pirates to egs license (Death Stranding)
Hello everyone, I started playing pirate ds for a couple of weeks, because I decided that online functions are not worth the money, what you need to pay for the full game, and according to the law of meanness on the 26th, as many people know, they distributed a license, which I took of course. Now that I have a face, it is logical that I would like to switch to it, but I do not want to lose forty hours of progress. Is it possible to transfer saves from a cracked Steam version to a licensed version from EGS, and if so, how? I am attaching screenshots with game files, explain how and what to do, if possible. Pirate version 1.06, license version 1.08, license files on the left, pirates on the right, for reference, I don't have a Director's Cut if that's importantDo you want to replace saves in the game?
• Go to your save folder AppDataLocalLowKojimaProductions and you will find two folders, one for the base game and one for the director's cut.
• * Copy the contents of "Death StrandingRandom Number to DeathStrandingDCRandom Number"
• Open game pathds.exe or game pathDeathStranding.exe in a hex editor (eg HxD).
• Find 75 05 41 C6 46 3A 11 48 8D 8D in hexadecimal.
• * Change it to EB 05 41 C6 46 3 A 11 48 8D 8D to bypass save file corruption check.
• Save your changes.

is just an ordinary copy-paste from another site, you should at least read that this is not about directors cat.
In general, I tried to transfer the saves from the pirate hataba to the litsuhu egs, but the maximum I achieved was that the game considers the saves to be damaged and cannot load them. If you read on other sites, you can find out that the point is that the saves are, as it were, tied to the account on which they were made, and how to relink them, I don’t know, because everything is encoded in the .dat files of the saves and nothing is clear there.
No matter how sad it was, you either need to wait for a decision from a person who knows how to delve into date files or start the game from the beginning (he went to the mountain node on a pirate and now you just have to speedrun just to the moment where he stopped, namely at the mountain node)

The method above works, no matter what version of the game or edition. This method removes the check for damage to the save file and the game starts, the saves start working.

okay, it really works, it's just that when you start the game, an error about corrupted saves still pops up, but then everything loads. Thank you
