The game freezes after moving to the second city (Assassin's Creed 2)

Hello! Now I don’t have the opportunity to use a normal PC (I used to), so I use an old laptop. I downloaded as2. Lags, but not the point. When Ezio moves to another city (in the storyline) he moves into such a white vacuum (as during the loading of the level) and freezes. Every time I start a save, the level just doesn't start. Ezio just stands there and nothing happens. What to do? Help me please!
