Do you need this game without multiplayer? (choo-choo Charles)

I'm not asking for PvP like Dead by Daylight, PvP sucks and can ruin the game due to balance and more... I'm asking for co-op at least so you can play with your friends. This game clearly has the potential for online co-op otherwise after the hype this game will die.
