Which is better for zen 2 2 8gb or 4 8gb?
I have ryzen 5 3600, msi b450a pro max, two sets of RAM. The first 3200 cl16 2 to 8 1rank (works stably, does not chase even a megahertz). The second 2 x 8 GB 1 rank Samsung bidai (which turned out to be 3600 cl 14).What is better 4 by 8 (3200 cl16) or 2 by 8 (3600 cl14)?

If in terms of performance, then of course the second option.
But there are essentially percentages, and whether you need these percentages or better than 32 GB, it's up to you to decide.

In terms of performance, the second option, in terms of volume, of course, the first.
As for which is better - depending on what for. If the computer is only for games, then the 3600 will probably be better, but not so much. But if it is also for working in "gluttonous" software such as Adobe, Autodesk, etc., then the first option.

Best of all 2x16, buy and enjoy. Take Krcial Balistics. Works great (3000 C15/3200 and 3600 C16). Duals will be more interesting. Never fence 4 bars!
And so, today 32GB any new assembly is already the norm. 16 is already such a minimum.
With regards to RAM, Samsung is always in the top, and overclocking and frequency, and in terms of tuning timings. 4 bars are not a fact that, in principle, they will go into good overclocking. This is a load on the power system, and in general, in terms of timings and load on the controller, such a solution. 2x16 is better in this regard, and overclocking is, of course, a matter of motherboard topology, but it is very likely that you will achieve better results in the second and fourth slots of the board. Yes, and 32 gigabytes is very tempting and you need it yesterday. But I would not take bad straps. 2x16 order!

Here they talk about 2 and 4 strips for overclocking:
